Hey guys!

It’s been a super long time since I wrote because I had exams and then I was home for Christmas! But now I’m back with lots to talk about!

I just finished up my second week back in Halifax and things are going great! I started voice lessons with a lady named Janice Jackson (I always want to call her Janet Jackson though!) and she’s really great! I am pumped to take voice lessons with her, because we don’t do any singing in first or second year acting here at Dal and I miss it a lot!

I have also started looking for monologues for my big audition at the end of this year. Anyone who wants to move up into 2^nd year acting has to audition to get in. There are about 250 1^st year acting students, and they take 20 second years. It’s pretty stressful, but also a lot of fun to prepare for. For the audition you have to have one Shakespeare monologue memorized and one contemporary monologue (a contemporary monologue is one that has been written in the 20^th century to present). You also need a song prepared to sing.

If you do well in the first audition they ask you to come to a call back where you have to learn a dance, sing and do group improv exercises. It should be a lot of fun to do!

I am also preparing for a show that is going to be put on February 11-14. It is an original show done with masks, the director named it Driven. So, if you’re in Halifax during that time come see it and visit me of course!!
